Lean Management Knowledge Competition

Release time:

2026-01-19

To effectively enhance employees’ knowledge and practical application skills in lean management and to promote the deep integration of lean management principles into every aspect of the company’s production and operations, in May, our company carefully planned and organized a lean management knowledge competition. By using the competition as a means to encourage learning and leveraging learning to drive practical application, we aim to truly transform lean management knowledge into employees’ on-the-job operational capabilities, thereby helping the company successfully implement and achieve tangible results from its lean management system.

I. Pre-Competition Preparation: Question Bank Development + Self-Study

During the preparation phase of the competition, the company’s lean management team, in collaboration with the production and administrative departments, carefully compiled a question bank tailored to the company’s actual production conditions and the specific characteristics of different job roles. The question bank covers core theories of lean production, practical key points of 5S management, and cost-control techniques—ensuring both professional rigor and alignment with the actual needs of each position.

Three days before the competition, the question bank was officially made available to all employees. Employees can practice and study anytime, anywhere via their mobile devices. This fragmented learning approach allows everyone to flexibly make use of spare moments to reinforce their knowledge.

Competition Implementation: Self-registration + Scan code to answer questions

The day before the competition, the company launched an online self-registration portal. Employees from all departments enthusiastically participated, with the number of registrants covering various positions such as production, administration, and warehousing, fully demonstrating employees’ enthusiasm for learning lean management knowledge.

Once the competition officially began, participants scanned a QR code to enter the quiz system. The questions were randomly selected from a pre-existing question bank, ensuring both fairness and testing employees’ proficiency in their knowledge. This competition adopted a team-based format, dividing participants into two major groups: the Office Group and the Workshop Employees Group. Ultimately, the top three participants from each group, based on their quiz scores, were declared the winners.

III. Reward Structure: Group-Based Recognition + Cash Incentives

To encourage employees to actively participate in the competition and deepen their understanding of lean management principles, the competition has introduced a cash reward system. The top three contestants from both the office team and the workshop employee group—based on their quiz scores—will each receive a cash reward. The winning contestants expressed that this competition not only brought them material rewards but also deepened their comprehension of lean management concepts. Moving forward, they plan to apply what they’ve learned to their daily work and proactively identify opportunities for lean improvements in their respective roles.

This lean management knowledge competition not only provided employees with a platform for learning and exchanging lean management knowledge, but also effectively boosted everyone’s enthusiasm for studying lean management, further popularizing the lean management philosophy within the company. In the future, our company will continue to promote the practical implementation of lean management concepts through diverse approaches such as knowledge competitions and specialized training sessions, constantly optimizing production processes, enhancing management efficiency, and helping the company achieve high-quality development.
